WFDU Archives: EB Fisher

Host profile: EB Fisher

E.B. Fisher has been at WFDU since 1992, with her show, Nothin’ But the Blues, an eclectic blend of upbeat blues and rock ‘n’ roll. It’s a great way to begin your day!

Raised on songs from the 30s and 40s, with ten years of classical piano education, E.B.’s musical interests are all over the map. Her generation was influenced by the music of late-70's/early-80's, and hosting the program introduced her to the blues.

Outside of the station, E.B.’s hobbies include swimming, waterskiing, sailing and playing the piano. She is an active member in a number of organizations and charities. However, her most consuming - and rewarding - role is that of "Mom." E.B. and her husband have a son and daughter - and three dogs!

E.B. loves the unique qualities of radio and believes it is an under-appreciated medium that encourages the listener to create their own picture of what is actually occurring on the other side of the box. It's entertaining and, at times, quite funny. She absolutely loves the “Christmas Show,” which features her kids, Sam and Max. Her daughter debuted with her rendition of “Santa Baby” when she was 4 years old!
